R718E comes with an IP65 housing. It has a built-in 3-axis accelerometer that reports the acceleration and velocity value of the x, y and z axis respectively. R718E also has a thermistor attached for measuring the surface temperature.
This device is specifically designed for industrial use for monitoring machines like conveyors, compressors or motors because these machines generate vibrations, and an increase in the vibration amplitude can indicate that the machines are failing. In addition, when a machine is failing, its temperature would rise, and with the external thermistor attached to R718E, the unexpected temperature rise can be detected and will help prevent breakdowns.
Like all our R718 series, R718E has built-in magnets for easy installation.
